Vodianitsa is a character from Russian mythology. She is a drowned woman; however, inlike rusalka, she is not an undead because in life she was baptized. She lives in deep ends in forests and near water mills where fast current muddies the water. She is a quite mean creature amd may brick grindstones or tear nets while playing with them.
